Old VT boxes still in great shape!

Mad River Lookout box is in great shape. Enigma Stone is wet inside, but the logbook bag kept the book dry. Not bad for 16+ years old!
They are the oldest boxes I've found with original stamp and logbook. 9-7-98    Does anyone know of older boxes with original contents?

I am very glad to hear that those boxes are intact! They were Eric Davis's (Vermont Viking) 2nd and 3rd plants. I stamped them the week after Eric hid them. He and I were the only Vermont letterboxers then, so he found mine first and I found his first.

The Rolling Rock letterbox in Braintree is intact and still has its original contents. I placed it on 9-26-98, but these two of Eric's are both earlier.

I don't think there are any earlier than those.

I'm trying to find all the 90's boxes that I can find clues for.
So far I've also found "El Corazon" (stamp 8-22-98, replacement log '03) and "Misery Loves Company" (also 1998?)

Wow, great job!  I was fortunate to find Rolling Rock (and some others) by Tom Cooch last year when I was in the area for L&B XV, but I did not know about these earlier boxes.  Finding the clues must be quite a challenge, but I commend your effort and thank you for sharing.
